Lock the Shoulders and Hips
- Control the rotation and power of your core
- Help flatten the spine for better swim posture
- Center adjusts up or down to fit most swimmers
- Side bars extend out to force hip rotation to match the stroke (like Hip Fins)
- Quick to put on and off
- 3 position quick clip allows it to extend to match most body sizes
- Comfortable underarm pads allow the elastic straps to move under the arms with the shoulders without rubbing
- Includes the 1SwimBelt for a versatile belt for dozens of uses

Additional Uses/Tips/Support:
Spine Alignment:
- Easier to feel how to align the spine than other options
- Other core/spine alignment options don’t allow you to feel how to fully flatten your back
- You can add a 1swimbelt just below the chest to help draw in the spine
Hip Rotation:
- Fully connect the shoulders and the hips to ensure full connection
- Slide out the hip extensions to block the stroke from exiting without the hips properly rotated out of the way
- Less noticeable when swimming than hip fins as there is almost no resistance front-to-back or side-to-side
Swim Freestyle
- Connect the rotation of shoulders and hips
- Pull Only Freestyle – helps connect a 1 beat and 3 beat kick by training proper rotation timing
- Train the back to flatten to match the pipe on the spine
- Optionally, slide the lower side pipes out so the arm will hit the bar if the swimmer does not rotate the hips out of the way properly
Swim Backstroke
- Connect the rotation of shoulders and hips
- Helps create rotation so the catch starts underwater
- Train the back to flatten to match the pipe on the spine
- Helps create a ‘push’ phase instead of the older ‘downsweep’ exit style stroke
- this can be enhanced by sliding the lower side pipes out so the arms will hit the pipes
Swim Breaststroke
- Helps draw the hips forward as legs recover
- Minimizes the degree of ‘fly’ undulation into the extension/glide phase
- Improves body awareness of side-to-side lopsided breast stroke
- Train the back to flatten to match the pipe on the spine
Swim Butterfly
- Helps minimize the undulation so swimmers don’t drive down too deep
- Helps keep the breathing ‘low and forward’ instead of too high out of water
- Helps timing of the 2nd kick on the butterfly
- Train the back to flatten to match the pipe on the spine
Improve Bilateral Undulations
- Train the Flow Drill (or Rib Hinge) to ensure shallow, chest-lead (rib hinge) undulations
- The CoreControl during undulations and flow drills can make it hard to lead with your head
Straighter Spine with Streamlines Off the Walls
- Train the back to flatten to match the pipe on the spine
- A bowed back causes the hips create drag resistance by ‘pushing’ water in front of the hips
- Place your fingers in the gap between the bar and the spine to demonstrate the problems
Straighten the Back on Free and Back
- Practice kick sets with the CoreControl to train swimmers to flatten their back to the bar
