Benefits of Strapping Ankles Together:
- The added drag resistance, from the sinking legs, builds stroke muscles faster.
- Trains the swimmer to press their buoyant chest and lift their legs.
- Improves early vertical forearm (EVF) by magnifying any degree of dropped elbows.
- Adds diversity to your pull sets.
-
Benefits of Strapping Ankles + Buoy Between Ankles:
- Creates front quadrant instability
- Improves stroke quality
- Improves core engagement
2 sizes:
- Regular Ankle Strap
- Small Ankle Strap
Regular Ankle Strap
Strong enough to attach to a parachute from the ankles
Join 2 ankle straps to make a knee strap for breast kicking
Use as an Ankle Cuff on each foot to pull small parachutes from each foot
Small Ankle Strap
- The most comfortable strap on the market
- Might not be big enough for some swimmers
Long-Term Maintenance:
- As the female Velcro ‘feathers out’ just take scissors and trim down the excess to get more life out of your straps.

Endless uses to mix up your pull sets
- Ankle strap alone
- Ankle Strap with buoy between ankles
- Ankle Strap attached to a parachute (or power bags)
- Ankle Strap with Power Bags on feet
- 2 Ankle straps combined to strap knees together
Constantly mix up your pull sets to challenge the body balance, core muscles, and upper body strength
The buoy between the ankles challenges the side-to-side balance
Feedback (Swimmers FEEL / Coaches SEE / Video for Self-Analysis):
- As your feet sink, press down on your chest to help drive up your legs
- Be sure to do pull sets without a pull buoy to help improve your core and power
- Feel any ‘fishtail’ of your legs and use your core to stabilize your side-to-side balance

- Add individual small parachutes to each ankle for flutter kicking
- Use the Ankle Strap to attach a Power Bag with a funnel or sponge to each ankle
- High resistance while keeping a high kick tempo
- Minimized knee bend while adding resistance to upper body and kick power
Feedback (Swimmers FEEL / Coaches SEE / Video for Self-Analysis):
- You will FEEL increased resistance as you increase the rate of knee bend

Attach a Parachute to EACH Foot for Breast Kick sets
Photos: Ankle strap on each ankle pulling small chutes breast kicking
- Add individual small parachutes to each ankle for breast kicking
- Use the Ankle Strap to attach a Power Bag with a funnel or sponge to each ankle
- Focuses attention on the power and speed of recovery phase
- If the tethers to the parachute are long, there will be no added resistance to the power phase
- If the tethers are short, the parachute will add resistance to both the recovery and power phase
Feedback (Swimmers FEEL / Coaches SEE / Video for Self-Analysis):
- Focus on SNAPPING your feet up with power and speed
- When you remove the parachutes from your feet, you will FEEL the added speed of your recovery
